Stalingrad 3D2012-2013 Columbia picturesDid DIT and Video Assist chef of departments. Designed both digital film workflow and set layout for this gig. A 3 stereo rigs shoot with all the gadgets possible. Such as Tecnocranes, Stedicams, Spidercams... The concept of using VideoAssist engineers for pre- picture quality control and wireless playback possibility insured that all the material shot will be good.
Dyatlov's Pass Incident2012 RussiaA unique solution was done on this shot that took place above 3800 near North Pole. A completely wireless self powered VideoAssist solution capable of grading live picture and doing Rough Cut and Compose. Most challenging was keeping the gear alive in -38 cold.
Legend 172012 Russia - Belarus
Video Assist job that took me to my max. Up to 8 cameras on a single set. most of them are on the hockey field. No wires what so ever. And the distance to the last camera is way more than 300m. But using a distributed network I managed to get 8 pictures in front of the director. And a hokey instructor received an iPad with his personal playback.
The Geographer Drank His Globe Away2011 RussiaAn interesting job with distributed post production and long distance Data Management. And most exiting was a chance to work with one of my favorite actors.
Breaking The Bank2015 UKVideo-Assist and a fit of DIT helping hand on a British feature comedy on some proper banking with Kelsey Grammar. Really enjoyed working with the crew.

Sometimes they write about my work
Ethan Hawke shot most of his forthcoming biopic with DJI gear
... Scott McLeslie, the film's drone operator, was understandably more confident about what flying cameras and the Osmo could bring to the table. Not just as part of a smaller operation, but in their ability to do things that conventional Hollywood gear could not. "They opened possibilities that none of the cinematographers could dream of," he said. ...
Pathologic Classic HD launches with weirdest trailer ever
You have likely heard us at one point or another describe Pathologic, the Ice-Pick Lodge-created horror-adventure that came out in 2005, as brilliantly intriguing and almost entirely incomprehensible. And you may have thought that we were exaggerating. If so, I invite you to watch the launch trailer for Pathologic Classic HD, which came out today, and then reflect upon the fact that, yes, this is pretty much what the game is like.
PATHOLOGIC CLASSIC’S NEW TRAILER IS HOW VIDEOGAME TRAILERS SHOULD BE DONE
Pathologic Classic HD, the remaster of Ice-Pick Lodge’s classic horror game, is out and along with it, a brand new trailer. It’s exactly what a trailer for a game like this should be: a long, slow montage of people and places, monuments and landscapes recognizable to loyal fans, but foreign to those who have yet to step into its world. It’s ominous, inviting, it shows, but doesn’t tell, it raises more questions than it answers, and most importantly, it makes me want to play.
OWC Radio Interview
Scott McLeslie, DIT, drone operator and cinematographer talks with host Cirina Catania about his recent work with Village Studios on some pretty awesome projects with major stars and a great team. He has some very interesting and amazingly candid comments about the future of the DIT’s position with the production—and it is NOT on the set! We grabbed Scott as he was in his car and stalked him at the airport in Nashville as he was headed out to his next assignment.
